Throughout my career I have had the opportunity to work in sales and developed a great love and fondness of working with people to assist them in achieving their goals and aspirations. As a born and bred Newfoundlander, I have spent many seasons exploring Gros Morne National park and the surrounding communities from when I was a young child to present day. Through the years, I have developed a desire to spend as much time as possible in Gros Morne to enjoy its mystical experiences which feeds my soul and refreshes my spirit leaving me with a rejuvenated focus to live a prosperous life. With a desire to share my experiences of Gros Morne, I now have the opportunity to assist others in their own personal journey to visit and enjoy the many gifts the park has to offer, from the incredible beauty of the landscapes to meeting the people who live in the coastal communities that surround the park.

 

As the owner of The Peridot Lodging Company, I focus on doing what I desire most, which is to share with others, the incredible experience of Gros Morne. The Peridot Lodging Company takes it name from the Peridot Crystal. The Peridot Crystal, also known as the Peridot Gem, is formed in molten rock of the earth’s upper mantle and brought to the surface by the tremendous forces of earthquakes, volcanoes and plate collision. The Peridot Crystals form in Peridotite, which is the rock that forms the Tablelands of Gros Morne National Park. The Peridot Crystal has been used by civilizations throughout history as a crystal of warmth and well-being, mentally stimulating and physically regenerating. It carries the gift of inner radiance, sharpening the mind and opening it to new levels of awareness and growth, helping one to recognize and realize one’s destiny and spiritual purpose. It is these attributes that are evoked for visitors spending time in the awe-inspiring beauty of Gros Morne, and it is this connection with the Peridot Crystal and Gros Morne that The Peridot Lodging Company is born of.
